I have been writing erotic fiction since I was in junior high. Whoo, did I get in heaps of trouble with my mother! I have been stagnant with my writing for years until I just sat down and started writing a story . I shared it with a few people and kept it up. Libertine Awakenings was born. When I do need inspiration, I usually turn to meditation to get clear. When inspiration hits, it is all-consuming. It's like being on a manic high. Sometimes I wake up out of a deep sleep and I HAVE to write down a plot twist or a scene. I keep a little notebook in my pocket to write down things that pop in my head as well. As far as getting inspired, that comes naturally. Some days are better than others.
