Hmmmm....this is where reality and fantasy collide!

I have been writing erotic fiction since I was in junior high. Whoo, did I get in heaps of trouble with my mother! I have been stagnant with my writing for years until I just sat down and started writing a story . I shared it with a few people and kept it up. Libertine Awakenings was born. Part truth, part fiction, you decide!
When I do need inspiration, I usually turn to meditation to get clear. When inspiration hits, it is all-consuming. It's like being on a manic high. Sometimes I wake up out of a deep sleep and I HAVE to write down a plot twist or a scene. I keep a little notebook in my pocket to write down things that pop in my head as well. As far as getting inspired, that comes naturally. Some days are better than others.

I am editing my second book, starting book three and working on my non-fiction all while writing daily for a news magazine AND working as a massage therapist. WHEW.
Book two is Libertine Justice, a continuation of the love story of Justin and Alexis.
Alexis returns to Colorado to discover that her tightly controlled world is falling apart. Everything that she has worked so hard for is slipping away. She turns to Justin, who continues to train her and the love between them grows, as does her strength. He teaches her to claim her power and Alexis vows to seek retribution and to fight for her honor. Danger lurks as the mystery deepens regarding her mother’s death. Soon everything that Alexis knows to be true is tested. She has to fight for love, for justice…even for her own life.

Just do it. What is the WORST thing that can happen? No one reads your words. A bad review. You have to work a part-time job like I do. Follow your dharma. I only have one book published so far and it is as if I gave birth. DO IT. Don't be a wuss. Sit down and write your heart out. Write as if it is your last day on the planet. Write as if you are on a mission from God. Seriously, if a handful of people read your words and it has a positive effect, WIN.

I've had more than one person tell me that I jump-started their sex life. It is so rewarding to get a thank you from someone who was in a lull and that my words inspired them to try something new. It's a little embarrassing, but I am happy to help. I'm filling a void and creating joy. What more can a girl ask for? I love making people happy. I dig my writer's lifestyle. I have a dopey little job doing massage that keeps me from being homeless while I create. I also work as a reporter under my birth name. I love writing so much I could BURST.

Meditation, a hot bath, a nap...having the block means that I have some sort of emotional blockage that needs to be dealt with. Sometimes it requires rest. I work constantly so a bit of me time makes me feel whole. Usually my stories come to me in dreams or in meditation. Makes for a nice bout of insomnia but it works.
