I read this book to our 8-year-old son upon recommendation from our 10-year-old daughter whose teacher read it to them aloud. I MISS reading about Melody now that this book is over. What do you read NEXT after reading a book this good?

Your son might also enjoy reading about Helen Keller and Annie Sullivan. There are loads of books about them. The one I loved at age 9 was called Helen Keller's Teacher by Margaret Davidson. (less)
