Can someone explain the fraud/counterfeiting scheme the main characters were running? It did not seem overly complex - ordering Chinese fakes, shoppers buying originals, returning the fakes to dept stores, and selling the real ones on Ebay? I may be missing something. I was also surprised the scheme warrants international law enforcement activity - was there more to Mac's business beyond the counterfeit bags?

The repeated mention of a fatal plane crash which was probably due to counterfeit plane parts reminded the reader that the results of counterfeit merchandise can be frivolous or very serious.(less)
