Emily
Emily asked Rick Riordan:

I have always loved your writing, and part of the reason for that is how realistic your characters are. I find that when I try to write, I often fail to create realistic, believable characters, and I was hoping that you might be able to shed some light on how to advance my writing style. (I'm required to add a question mark, so here is a question mark?)

Rick Riordan Thanks! The only way to advance your writing is to write more, and more, and more. That's the only thing I've found that works for me. If there are any secrets or tricks for improving, I have never found them. Oh, and read a lot. Pay attention to how authors do it in stories that you enjoy. Good luck!
