How do you start your novels? I´m trying to write one myself but find myself struggling with just beginning it! Your openings are always so creative and grabbing. Any tips? Thanks so much!

Rick Riordan Before I start chapter one, I do an outline. It doesn't have to be detailed, but I need a road map so I don't get stuck in the middle of the manuscript. Then I just write the whole first draft without stopping. Don't worry if it isn't perfect. It won't be. Resist the temptation to go back and revise. Finish draft one. Then you can go back and revise all you want.
