I'm glad her character worked for you! The more I wrote about her in Heroes, the more I got the feeling she was chafing under this romantic narrative Aphrodite expected her to follow. First Hera wrote her a "happy ending" with Jason, then Aphrodite had her own expectations of who Piper would be. But Piper never got to explore who she was and what she actually wanted. Like a lot of young people, Piper isn't 100% sure how she identifies, but she's getting the chance and the freedom now to make her own story, and that's important. Good luck with the fundraiser!

This isn't a question, but I wanted to say thank you for including the "Nico confessing to Percy" scene. It gave me the courage to come out to my parents, so thank you for writing and being an inspiration to my generation of people trying trying to normalize minorities. I hope we can expect more representation in your books?
