This isn't a question, but I wanted to say thank you for including the "Nico confessing to Percy" scene. It gave me the courage to come out to my parents, so thank you for writing and being an inspiration to my generation of people trying trying to normalize minorities. I hope we can expect more representation in your books?

Rick Riordan I'm so glad! You are not alone! I believe it's important for all kinds of kids to be represented in books, so, yes, representation is something I actively work on. I don't always get it right, being a straight white male, but I draw on my experiences as a teacher, working with all kinds of kids, and I know I owe it to them to do the best job I can honoring their life experiences.
