Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

C.C. Sunny I know there are many...MANY retellings of the famous Beauty and the Beast story and there is no way I have read them all but... I never really found the story I was craving to read. I wanted it know how does a woman fall in love with a Beast? In my mind there is no way he could be a jerk and in need of fixing or changing. First off normal women don't fall for a guy like that when they don't even have their good looks to fall back on. Also that is not a healthy relationship prospect to look for.
Second everyone changes a little naturally but it's very rare to change someone completely. I wanted to explore the questions of...did Beast bring Beauty flowers? Did they go on picnics? What did they talk about? Did they have hard things to overcome? Were there funny awkward moments? Danger? Also I love to break the mold of expected tropes. Why do they always hang around the castle in all the other books? The guy has a kingdom to run!
A villain! I wanted a strong Villain to really cause havoc in their lives! I wanted to explore and tell everything.
