I skip the block and come back to the problem later. Sometimes I have crystal clear scenes in my mind that I just need to write down and free up the space to write the next scenes. As I write the scenes I begin to see what more the story needs and it helps me to know what to place in the writers block sections. Writing a book is like crafting a puzzle you know what the end story or puzzle picture is like but as you write you have to form and fit each puzzle piece together.

Currently I'm trying to decide if I want to remake the werwolf trope, standalone, Stargate/laracroft or tackle a series of enemies to lovers, fantasy, fire and water.

1. Try new things/ HEALTHY things. Don't go trying drugs or things that are dangerous.(Obviously) Read gene's you normally don't read the same goes for shows and activities.
2. Research! Personally besides reading what I love to write about. I really enjoy watch history and biographies of passed rulers or kingdoms!
3. Put it down on paper. When that inspiration comes it can be quite fleeting. I find if I don't quickly write it down chances are high I will forget it. And if I write it down then I don't have to waste brain power to try remembering it. It frees up thinking space to brainstorm other plot problems and craft your story.

I know there are many...MANY retellings of the famous Beauty and the Beast story and there is no way I have read them all but... I never really found the story I was craving to read. I wanted it know how does a woman fall in love with a Beast? In my mind there is no way he could be a jerk and in need of fixing or changing. First off normal women don't fall for a guy like that when they don't even have their good looks to fall back on. Also that is not a healthy relationship prospect to look for.
Second everyone changes a little naturally but it's very rare to change someone completely. I wanted to explore the questions of...did Beast bring Beauty flowers? Did they go on picnics? What did they talk about? Did they have hard things to overcome? Were there funny awkward moments? Danger? Also I love to break the mold of expected tropes. Why do they always hang around the castle in all the other books? The guy has a kingdom to run!
A villain! I wanted a strong Villain to really cause havoc in their lives! I wanted to explore and tell everything.
