Jeffrey asked Glynnis Campbell:

While doing research for one of your books, did you ever come across something that you thought was so interesting that you thought people should know about it, but you were having a hard time incorporating the information naturally into the book?

Glynnis Campbell This happens all the time to authors! You learn so many fascinating details when you research, but you can't incorporate all of them into the story, because they bog things down. You have to learn to be ruthless, omitting anything that doesn't move the story forward. (I sometimes fool myself by jotting the information down in a separate document and saying I'll use it in a future book.)
