Have you ever had a publisher want to make so many changes to a novel that it wouldn't be the novel that you intended it to be?

Glynnis Campbell No, my editors have always been light-handed. I did once submit a novel for consideration to a top publisher that asked me to change my Native American hero to at least half white, which I refused to do, so I published it myself!
