Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Justin Sewall Before finishing Cerulean Rising: Beginnings, I already knew this would be a series of books set in the universe I was helping create. Interestingly enough, I had a second book well underway, but our team leader wanted to go a different direction. So after much discussion, the book I had slated to be the immediate sequel was moved to be book three (currently untitled.)

This put me, unexpectedly, back at square one from a story perspective. However, the end of Beginnings gave me a starting point and events for Evolutions developed from there.
