I don't have any mysteries in my own life, per se, but there is one I discovered in my grandmothers.
While researching my family history, I came across my grandparent's marriage certificates. There was an affidavit attached because she was underage, and her mother had to be present to acknowledge the union. Another surprise was that her status wasn't single but widowed. Yes, my grandmother had been married twice before the age of 18.
As to the circumstances of the first marriage, I may never know.
