How do you get inspired to write?

Paulette Frankl Inspiration comes easy if I am in the "Zone". By that I mean in the bead of focus. I hold that place of focus most precious: it's easy to lose and hard to stay in. Everything about daily life scatters my attention. Inspiration comes through scintillating conversations, or quietude of mind. It can come from anything, anytime at all. I'm always looking for inspiration and finding it in unexpected moments. The discipline is in remaining open and letting moments speak to me.
