Hey! My husband and I are huge fans! He has read every one of your books, and I've only got a couple left to read! We were wondering if the Rock of Gibraltar had any special or personal meaning to you? We both finished up Lost In Time a couple of weeks ago, and we were talking about your stories yesterday and the mention of the rock in a lot of your books, so we thought we would ask you!

I'm so glad you both enjoyed the books!

Yes--I visited Gibraltar probably a decade ago and have always been fascinated by the Rock of Gibraltar for a few reasons:

-- its significance in ancient myths (as part of the boundary of the known world)
-- the Barbary macaques (which are present nowhere else in Europe that I know of)
-- the tunnels

For the Atlantis trilogy, the location worked really well with the story, so I used it (and continued incorporating it in future works as sort of a callback).

Just read through all three of the Origin Series books. Fantastic fun! I'm a sci-fi/fantasy geek at heart but I was especially enjoying the Bourne/Bond/MissionImpossible type vibe going at the start of the first book. With David doing his best to stay one step ahead of . I read that you're working on a thriller set on Earth - should we expect to see more of that type of action?
