Goodreads asked Beth Moore Jones:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Beth Moore Jones Write. lol. That is really what it takes. Write, edit, write. I once heard, "Don't love your own words." Less is more. Learn your craft from the writing masters. Never give up, never quit. I believe God is the one who put that dream of writing a book inside your heart. Dream big because we serve a big God, and nothing is impossible with Him. Push through procrastination and distractions. Perfectionism will kill creativity, so don't listen to that critical editor's voice in your head. Tell her to shut up and keep writing. Read, read, read. Always have pen and paper with you for inspired ideas. Journal often. Seek help from other successful authors. I believe in you. You can and will write that book! Find your writing voice. WRITE! Your writing is a gift that the world needs...don't hide it, but bless others with it and glorify God with it.
