I want to read this book, but I'm not sure if it's a age appropriate for me (14 years old). What's your personal age rating for this book?

People keep menti…moreI'm only 2/3 of the way through, but I'd personally say hold off till 17 at least. Even then it wouldn't have been ideal for my son. People keep mentioning the sexual content and bullying...but the sexual content I've seen is far from "traditional" and can be violent. There's a reference like that within the first few pages that can be very disturbing.
If, as a general guideline we don't suggest films with that sort of content, it might be prudent to stick with that guideline for a book. As others have stated, we all have different maturity levels, and this is a good book. But those details alone might concern me for you. (less)
