Where do most of your ideas come from? And how old were you when you started writing? I love your books. The first one I read was Between Sisters. I think I have read all of them since I read it.

Hi Belinda, thanks so much for reading my books. I really appreciate it! I first started writing when I was 26 years old. Boy, that sounds so young now. :) I started seriously writing a few years later when I became a mother. I wanted to stay at home with my son and I thought being a writer was the perfect answer.
Most of my ideas come from being a woman in the world. I get ideas from magazines, newspapers, television. I usually start with an issue that I feel strongly about, or a question I want to answer, or a theme I want to explore. For example, in Fly Away, I was fascinated by the question of how a family moves on following the loss of their matriarch. It's a question that really hits home for me and I was finally ready to really consider it. Thanks for asking!

First I want to say how moved I was by your book Night Road. Thank you for writing such a touching and thought provoking novel. That said would you ever continue the story? I wanted more of that family. You are the author and writer so you know best. It just felt like there could be more.
