Do you think there is a silent, stealth race between superpowers (maybe Jeff and Elon too) to get hold of Psyche 16 first?

Hundreds of thousands of asteroids, likely millions orbit the Sun (including 13,123 Tyson ! ). The metallic ones are rarer, but with such huge numbers, they are not hard to find. So whether or not there's a race to the asteroid Psyche 16, there's plenty more where that came from.

Many breakthroughs in science were due to luck. After discovery of a new drug, comes a process of trial and error that consumes a lot of time and resources. If we had a quantum computer, the trial and error could be all simulated saving time and money? Instead of finding a new drug, maybe we can start designing new drugs due to quantum mechanics? Like turning on the light, see what we're doing and doing it better?

Science contains so many fields, and each field contains different subjects. How many basic/most common scientific fields are there. Ex: Biology for organic life, geology for natural science, math (lol) For every scientific field, they all have properties or characteristics that define them. Then, in order to develop, they need theories. What are some of your favorite OOTW scientific thesis's/developments?
