Neil deGrasse Tyson:
Science contains so many fields, and each field contains different subjects. How many basic/most common scientific fields are there. Ex: Biology for organic life, geology for natural science, math (lol) For every scientific field, they all have properties or characteristics that define them. Then, in order to develop, they need theories. What are some of your favorite OOTW scientific thesis's/developments?
Neil deGrasse Tyson
There is no understanding of Biology without Chemistry. There is no understanding of Chemistry without Physics. For these reasons, Physics is Phundamental to our understanding of Earth and the rest of the universe.
Furthermore, Mathematics is the language of the Universe.
All branches of science ultimately reduce to physics and math. Learn them both and pick your path.
My favorite unanswered questions are: 1) what was around before the universe? What is Dark matter? What is Dark Energy? 2) One. Earth, how did organic molecules transition to become self-replicating life? 3) Is there intelligent life in the universe?

Hey Neil! I had a question about supernovas. So I understand how a star could collapse once it has produced too much iron and runs out of fissionable material and loses the outward pressure from the nuclear reactions. But what causes it to then rebound outwards and explode?

Hey Neil, I’ve noticed that certain individuals respond to the realms of climate change or COVID-19 vaccinations by pointing fingers at cases in which scientific expertise has failed them — such as the abuse of DDT/insecticides, or our anthropocentric understanding of Earth’s location in the universe. How do you respond to people who attribute their distrust in scientific authorities to these precedents?
