Hi. One of the main reasons I read (and loved) your book was because I knew there was going to be a lot of Nirvana references. I wondered if Kurt was mentioned in there because you really like him, or if he had some kind of deeper impact in Laurel's story, or maybe if she just really liked him. Can you explain what kind of effect or benefit putting him in the story had, if there was any?

Hi Ava! I read your book and wrote an online review of Love Letters to the dead for a project I started with my friend called the smaxx project. I loved it, especially the little 'sisterhood' insights. My question is about the 'recipients' of the letters. Why and how did you choose the ones you did? Did you choose them because they fitted the story line or based the story line around them?
