Kafka has sex with his mother and adopted sister, and he speaks of his penis stinging after sex, being "hard as porcelain" etc. Kafka is a 15 year old boy, so did he really have sex or are these sexual fantasies? Given what I've read in Murakami's other books/short stories about sexual fantasies and "coming in his pants" (I quote), one wonders how much of it really happened on any plane outside the kid's head.(less)
