I was searching endlessly for a series of books that hit all the sweet spots… I am currently on book 4 of The Greatcoats series and I am really going to miss them. Do you plan on continuing the series or what do you recommend reading next from your books? I plan on reading everything you have written, what a gift you have!
Sebastien de Castell
Thanks for the kind words! The Greatcoats series is indeed continuing (though with different main characters as I could only torture poor Falcio so long before giving him a well-deserved rest). The new series is called The Greatcoats: Court of Shadows and launches in 2023 with PLAY OF SHADOWS. In the meantime, there's a Greatcoats short story collection titled Tales of the Greatcoats, Book 1 which is out now. And, of course, the entire six-book Spellslinger series followed by the Argosi trilogy of which the first two are out now.

Will there be any other opportunity to get "Guide to the Greatcoats, Vol. 1" in the future for people who missed the preorder? And is there still a chance "Greatcoats Encyclopedia" will be published or is that now to be divided into these Guides? And just to say, I loooved both the "Crucible of Chaos" and "Play of Shadows"!

Congratulations on the release of the german edition of "Shadowblack"! I'm a bookseller and I recommended Spellslinger to every young reader who likes magic, action and wit. Within weeks the parents got hooked as well and preordered Shadowblack haha. I take it that the sales are going well? Also, the authors information of the german edition states that you are currently living in the Netherlands. Is that accurate?

Hi! I've recently started the Spellslinger series (and by "started" I mean I've absolutely torn through the first three and am now desperately waiting for a chance to buy the fourth), and I have to ask: if, somehow, the main characters from the Spellslinger and Greatcoats series wound up in the same place, who do you think would get along with who (and, conversely, would anyone be at each other's throats)?
