Hi Joy, I just wanted to say what a delight it is to read your DI Galena series. Having started with book 1, I quickly fell in love with the characters. I've just started on book 13 and I'm hoping Nikki and Joseph will still be solving murders when they're in bathhchairs 😁 ⚘ Would I be right in thinking you had a full dossier on each of your main characters before you began the series? Regards, Lyn

Hi Lyn, sorry, I completely missed this!! I am absolutely delighted that like my Nikki and Joseph! And yes, I have no plans to retire them off any time soon. I do believe they have a fair bit of mileage left in their tanks. It's odd, but no, I had no plans for any of my characters, they just evolved, more or less overnight! All of their relationships and emotions just grow as we proceed with the books, much as things happen in real life. I am what they term as, a pants-er writer... ie it's organic, and I fly by the seat of my pants! xx

Well what a delight to find your books! I have finished your 1st and now have 3 more waiting. I am not familiar with the fens and its environment. What is it like? Who lives there? Is it peaceful? I of course am googling it but thought as a resident and author who lives there you could shed a first person perspective. Thanks for your writing!

No question, Joy. I just want to say how much I love your books. I have read them all and looking forward to the next one. The characters have become like friends! Will Nicki ever find romance? Thank you for your hard work typing until your fingers hurt. Your fans appreciate it.

I am obsessed with Richard Armitage's narrations of the Jackman and Evans series, and have listened to three of them in a little over a week. I would love for these to be adapted for a BBC mystery series similar to Vera with Brenda Blethyn, with Richard Armitage as DI Jackman. Is there any talk of an adaptation? I think that your books would make a fantastic television series. The Fens are so atmospheric.
