I kept imagining that I was reading the book without having read any reviews and within that context it was a fascinating and ambitious structure that I felt the author pulled off on the whole. I know enough about (but am by no means an expert) finance and music to to follow the interweaving of these concepts and the literary reference (and mimicked style of Part 1 and 2) was the icing on the cake for Wharton and James fans like me. And yes it leaves you with lingering thoughts on where we are today(less)
