What if Ethan of Athos starred a young Cordelia instead of Elli Quinn? When Ethan asks Elli if she'll donate an ovary to Athos, Elli mostly seems amused, not overly swayed by the thought of having hundreds of sons with her DNA. But Cordelia has an insatiable drive to expand her own biological empire. I bet Cordelia would have screamed "YES" to Ethan's question and gone and had it chopped out on the spot!

Interesting scenario!
Both coming to the same result, though perhaps Cordelia's enthusiasm would have been tempered by maternal concerns that would not occur to Elli. Elli did seem quite willing to just be a cuckoo, and fly away afterward.

Lois McMaster Bujold:
A long time ago, I asked you about feeling "bookicidal" (your word) about my own work. Your answer was empathetic, and I've carried it gratefully all these years. But now I have pressing financial concerns and a beta-reader who is so uninterested that she wants me to send her the Cliff's notes. I can't pander to that: I can only despair in its wake. Where do I find the courage to make a silk purse out of a sow's ear?

Good Day Ma'am,Hi, I'm Angelley Ragasa from Philippines.I really love to read your stories, the way you right your stories, it's very interesting. You inspires me. Now, I really want to read your stories more. May I ask you some questions? Can you recommend any new or upcoming authors to us? What keeps you motivated during creative slumps? How did you come up with the idea for your book? I hope I could get a response.

I've been listening to an excellent podcast about WWI and the diplomatic/military complexity of the situation is astounding. What historical influences/texts helped you to form the mindsets of Aral, Piotr, and Miles? I love the way they strategize and plan. They make me think of many different generals and tacticians, and I would love to read those auto/biographies. I wish to plumb the depths of your mind.
