What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Ruth Thompson If you aspire to write, start writing. Some books can take years to write and that's okay.

If you don't believe you can write, find a mentor, teacher or take online courses on writing. Read books about writing. For creative writing, my two recommendations are: "Save the Cat Writes a Novel" by Jessica Brody and "Understanding Show, Don't Tell" by Janice Hardy.

Find an accountability partner. That's how I finished writing my novel.
