Mackenzie answers “OK, I finally tuned in to watch Russian...”

OK, I finally tuned in to watch Russian Doll on Netflix and does anyone else think this book is a ripoff of the Amy Poehler / Natasha Lyonne show (released 2/1/19 on netflix)? Ok, it is Alice's relationship with her Dad in this book and Natasha Lyonne's with her mom in the show, and Alice is turning 40 while Natasha turns 36, but.... BTW if you haven't watched Russian Doll, you should!

Production schedules mean this book has been in work for quite some time. I actually felt that this book handled the idea of "fixing" one's future through manipulating the past much better than Russian Doll did.(less)

Mackenzie Yes, but season one of Russian Doll, was more of a Groundhog Day situation, and it took place only in the present. I felt the way this book handled it ...more
