Did Gregor and Laisa follow strict Barrayaran tradition and name their firstborn son Serg, since the majority of the populace consider him a war hero? Or did they choose another name so they weren't giving their child that history to live down?

Definitely chose another name/s. "Xav" likely features somewhere, speaking of war hero relatives. That diplomat-prince at least had a good galactic reputation
"Ezar" may not appear either, given his history with Komarr, which Barrayar is trying to retroactively woo. Current success patchy but sufficient.

Lois, what is your personal favorite cover of all your books' covers, and why? Maybe you might demur on the question out of fear of inadvertently disparaging some artist or another, but it doesn't have to be the cover with the best art per se, but simply your own personal favorite for what might be a sentimental or personal reason?

As a lover of all of your books, I also read most of the books that you recommend as well (and like them very much). I am wondering if you have read these books which I treasure: Winter’s Tale by Mark Helprin, and the Master and Commander series by Patrick O’Brian? The first is a complex fantasy; the second may be well outside your area of interest as it concerns the British navy during the Napoleonic Wars .
