Wow! I love this list of books. I've bookmarked the ones I haven't read. Have you read any books by Sarah Pekkanen / Greer Hendricks? I think they provide really smart writing on the Western side. One of my favorites is "An Anonymous Girl."

YES! I've read THE WIFE BETWEEN US and AN ANONYMOUS GIRL by this dynamic duo Pekkanen/Hendricks! They are soooo good at creating unique scenarios and lots of suspense. I don't know how they can create the books so seamlessly when they have two different minds and thought processes, but they manage brilliantly! :-) Alka

I absolutely The Henna Artist! How exciting also to hear about the next book! I teach 1st and 2nd graders, and next year will be teaching them about early Asian civilizations. I feel like this book introduced me to a culture I do not know a lot about, and gave me a starting place for research and lesson planning! Are there any sources you would suggest for this? Thanks!
