I was wondering about the feasibility of space travel from Erid. The author mention Erid having a gravity 2x stronger than our and it already takes a lot of energy to reach orbit from Earth. Not sure if gravity/energy relationship is linear or exponential, but getting the huge Blip-A to space might be beyond their capacity? I'm assuming they can't use Astrophage for liftoff, for the same reason Earth couldn't.
