I have lived and worked in many places including America and London. I moved back to my native Ayrshire in 2017 and was amazed by the beauty of the countryside, the beaches, and the rich history here on my doorstep. It was almost like visiting for the first time. I didn't fully appreciate what was all around me when I was growing up as is often the case. I decided to write a book set in a local village set in WW1 and WW2 so that I could include historical and local details.
