Yes it is. I'm not a prude by any means and reading about sex in books as a normal part of life is expected. But my god. Why did she feel it necessary to write a graphically descriptive sex scene for every adult character? I found myself rolling my eyes and muttering, here we go again. This was my first Jennifer Weiner and it definitely will be my last.
Amy
Yes it is. I found it uncomfortable.
Susie
It’s explicit & the sex scenes seemed gratuitous. Plus, she narrates them from both character’s perspective when once was already too much. I’ve read several of this author’s books, including her memoir (which I enjoyed, altho with “Big Summer”), but this book will be my last by her. There’s been several I DNF’d, or wished I would have, & the last two have been especially disappointing. This one was a regret read for me, wasted time & money, & had I not found the audio to push me thru (at 2xs speed) I could not have continued.
Penelope
It’s pretty explicit.
Nancy
I wouldn't consider it explicit. There is sex, but it's not graphic.
Krysta
Yes, definitely. I skimmed over several graphic (and unnecessary) scenes.
Erin
To the point where I was skipping over them. Gratuitous. I'm no prude, but, omg, how boring. And icky...lol, I rolled my eyes and moved on.
Janet Petitto
A little explicit, but, I usually skip over those parts as it does nothing for the storyline.
Judith
More so than Jennifer Weiner's usual books.
