Maria Rose Michael was so in love with his first wife, that he would do anything for her, including adopting a menagerie of 10 assorted children, which they had adopted prior to her getting willed that large apartment. If anything this series needs a prequel to tell us readers abut the young Michael Bennett on the job and his first wife.
