Hi Jodi, I have been puzzled for years about something: if the FOD plod is to find find Foreign Objects Dropped outside the pod, what does POD in “the corresponding POD plod” inside the pod stand for? Thank you for the books. I’m now rereading St Mary’s with great pleasure.

Jodi Taylor Hi John. The POD plod is when they check the pod for anything they might have inadvertently picked up. POD doesn't stand for anything in particular - I chose it because it rhymes with FOD and it is actually a POD plod. I hope this answers your question.
