I noticed that you write about women and girls who break the conventional way of the society and find a way to live life their way. I'm all for women empowerment but why don't you write a story on people who follow the rules of society, I'm all for breaking the rules but all the time? My question to you is will you write other books in different styles ?( please don't be offended, I love your books)

Gail Carriger Hum, I guess I just write what I like to read. I'm attracted to books about outsiders infiltrating and subverting the status quo. Also I think most of us authors write from our own experiences, and I've always been a bit of weirdo outside the norms of society. Just look at the way I dress and where I was raised. I wouldn't rule it entirely out, but I'd say it's unlikely.
