Hi Jessica ! I'm a French reader and dragon fan, and I'm in love with Dragon Slippers (in France we only have the first one, but I planned to read the sequels in English ^^) ! So I'm curious about the dragons and especially their names : what inspired you to create them ? (I love them all but I have to admit that Amacarin is my favorite, he's not the nicest dragon but this name is so beautiful !)

I'm sorry they aren't translated into French, but I think it's awesome that you're also fluent in English!
I had a lot of fun playing around with the names of the dragons. I wanted them to be different from human names, but not so strange that people would have trouble pronouncing them. I would take normal name, like Theodore, and move the letters around or add letters until I got something I liked, like Theoradus. Shardas is named that because it's a contraction of Shards Of Glass, because of what he hoards! I can't remember where Amacarin came from, but it's a favorite of mine as well!
