Hey! I love how you can switch back and forth between ghost stories/fantasy and sci-fi--and you do it well! Are there any other genres that you like to write in?

Phyllis Moore I like to read other genres besides fantasy and science fiction, but so far I only write fantasy and science fiction.

Originally, I planned to only write fantasy. As much as I like science, I'm no scientist. I didn't want to do the research for a science fiction book.

I like fantasy because I can make up my own rules and as long as I stay within those rules I'm good.

So what was the first book I published? A science fiction trilogy, People of Akiane. I did the best I could on the research. Thankfully, I am blessed with friends who are scientists and who were willing to correct my science. But there came a point when they said, "It's make believe, do what you want." So, I did.

I thought the trilogy would be the last. I moved on to fantasy and a six book series called Krunkie and the Last Dragon Eggs.

Guess what? I have another science fiction story percolating in my brain.
