Hello Susan: I just finished “Shielding Ember,” and I want to write a short review (I looved this couple). I’m glad a WOC, specifically a black woman, was written as a main character. Of your many books, is this the first WOC you’ve written? Can we expect more WOC featured as a MC in future books? Thanks!

Susan Stoker Thank you! Yes, this was my first main character who was a WOC. I loved writing her and did my best to make her as authentic as possible. And yes, I'd love to incorporate more into my stories! :)
