Don't judge your talent by your first draft. It is normal to have a bad first draft, and normal for the first draft to fall short of the amazing idea in your head. So if you use that draft to decide whether you have a good idea or whether you have talent, you'll side against yourself every time. Instead, give the story a few rewrites, and then you'll likely recognize that you do have writing talent after all!
