Greg Lafave
Greg Lafave asked Andy Weir:

Thanks for bringing my family(all of us engineers) together on a great read. We feel you had a deadline or something to reach as the pacing seem to change in the last 2 chapters in the book which is what this all built up to. What were the reasons for ending it the way you did? Did they even make it back to earth? Alot could still go wrong. Any insights?

Clare O'Beara
Clare O'Beara asked Andy Weir:

I loved the series of problems faced by the unwilling Martian colonist. I particularly enjoyed his plant-growing skills. However, I was wondering why the issue of solar radiation was not raised?

Nikola
Nikola asked Andy Weir:

Congratulations on publishing a great book, hopefully it will be made into movie soon much to reader's delight. It seems that research of deep space survival for your book has been done with great care, how well are you versed in space travel and cosmonautics?
