Do you need to read the previous two books before reading this one?
Justin Klinger you could still enjoy this book having not read the other two, but it's a lot like watching Rambo 3 without watching the first two. There IS a section in the early chapters that catches you up on what's going on, but I'd highly suggest reading at least the first one. I enjoyed both other books. If you're a "Dark Tower" person, make sure to read this trilogy. (less)
