Now that "How To Find Your Way in the Dark" has been published, what is the recommended reading order for the 'Sheldon Horowitz' series? I've had "Norwegian By Night" in my TBR stack, and haven't had a chance to read it yet. Thanks!

It's very hard to answer. Each works perfectly as a stand-alone novel. NbN was written first, so naturally many people will have read it first. I expected this and considered it when writing HOW TO FIND. But chronologically they start with HOW TO FIND.
The more natural order therefore might be chronologically but if you feel a desire to read the other first because of the subject matter, don't hold back. dbm

Goodreads lists Norwegians by Night as both Sigrid Odegard #1 and Sheldon H #2...? do they have it wrong? . Sigrid didn't enter the plot until about halfway through. The book seems to be about Sheldon....so I was looking for Sheldon Horowitz #1......I see by questions below that probably not? The ending was perfect BTW

First, the flattery: I stumbled upon "Norwegian By Night" while surfing on Amazon and was simply blown away. I have read it three times now, recommended it to friends and am hosting our monthly book club this week to further delve into its wonders. Now, the question: can you please explain the meaning of the title? I get the "Norwegian" part; it is the "By Night" that I can't figure out. Many thanks!

Derek Miller does not seem like a Jewish name to me, but you captured the mentality of my father's people. These are good times to laugh, and I suggest this is a theme in the book. Well done.
