I found the story of how your book came to be published very inspiring. How do you recommend someone getting their book noticed on the internet if going the self-published route? I don't necessarily mean noticed by a major publisher, but simply gaining readers.

Andy Weir I accumulated readers slowly over 10 years. I made short stories, webcomics, etc. Lots of content. Those regulars proved to be the critical mass that evangelized The Martian to others. I don't think there's any shortcut. You just have to write, write, write. If you do you'll gather readers.
