I really enjoyed the fact that this science fiction story was so believable and did not need aliens or super-futuristic technology as a part of the tale. It reminded me a bit of Apollo 13; someone trying to survive an accident in space. What made you decide to leave out the common sci-fi motifs of aliens, etc. and write about something so realistic?

Andy Weir I don't know. It just seemed like a good angle.

First off, great book. I almost wept at the end, but I'm very macho and held it back. My question is; how do you feel about your novel being turned into a film and do you agree with the casting? Thanks and I can't wait for your next book.
