Goodreads asked Ria Warrick:

How do you get inspired to write?

Ria Warrick I honestly don't know. I think a lot of it is just ideas that pop into my head as I'm hanging out with friends or family. I can take a walk with the autumn leaves falling all around me and that can become a setting for a scene in one of my novels, or sitting on a beach or hiking in the forest.

I also try to include a real historical fact into most of my books as well. With God Save The Pirate, it was the Denmark Vessey incident that took place July of 1822. With Forced Hearts, it was the Massacre of Glen Coe that occurred in Scotland in 1692. It just makes it more interesting to write about and I hope that it will encourage some people to look up the incidents to learn about them.
