Hello Manny. My question is how do you manage to cultivate such a wide variety of interests. Were you always interested in mastering multiple things or did it just happen over the years as your knowledge kept adding up. Also how do you go about mastering a new subject. Do you start with the introductory books? Do you rely on online lectures? At what level of expertise are you satisfied with yourself?

Manny Rayner I just like reading books. I never feel my level of expertise is satisfactory :)

You review of Sabine's new book was weird to say the least. You are not a physicist, I assume. And the way you look at research as similar to gambling shows your lack of education. A truly dumb-ass, irresponsible, and nasty view of physics or science in general. Maybe you should concentrate on gambling and poker which seem to be your favorite pass times . Do you get it?
