Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

B.D. Lawrence I had written a short story with a one-armed detective. Why, not exactly sure. I think the missing arm was the excuse to make him a brooding person. I like the old hardboiled stuff, so wanted a detective like that. Then, after working in a youth group for eleven years, I wanted to find a way to help stop human trafficking. Thus, And Angel and a One-Armed Man was born. A way to tell a story around human trafficking and raise money to help fight it.
