I have read all of your books multiple times and now I can't read anything else! My favorite is the Ascendance Series!! I hope Sage will eventually enter your mind again for more books! Thank you so much for all your great work :) I have recently started writing a book on my own, so I had one question. How do you make the characters sound so formal when they talk? Like instead of how teens would talk nowadays?

Any time you write a story, part of the artistic decision you will make is the way your characters speak. That choice will reflect who you are as the artist and who the characters are within your story. The way my characters speak is a reflection of those elements for me.

When you write, do you A) decide how you want your characters or B) let them present themselves to you and just write it all down? I feel as if you just wait until they tell you something, then you'll never get it done, but if you decide everything, it isn't true to their character,
